HI THERE! I’M JESSIE.
I discovered something after two decades as a learning strategist at global companies, local schools, and nonprofits: work shouldn't cost your wellbeing. Yet everywhere I looked, people were ignoring hunger, exhaustion, and stress signals - disconnecting from themselves, others, and nature.
After my own burnout, I built the tools I wished I'd had. Integrating mindfulness, ikigai, and evidence-based principles, DayBalancer helps independents explore the intersection of joy, skills, needs, and value. By reconnecting to self while supporting others, compatible people and opportunities emerge naturally. That's work/life integration at its core.
Now hundreds of people have joined to reflect on their values and explore ways to give back to the people and natural systems that support them.

FAQs
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m passionate about co-creating balanced, healthy relationships with ourselves, others, and our planet. The DayBalancer suite of tools has grown out of the resources that I created for myself and family over ~20 years. I’ve shared these tools with families, corporate teams, non-profit boards, schools, and communities. Tools lead to healthy diet, sleep, self-regulation, mindfulness, trauma-informed leadership, and conscious leadership.
Lately, you can find me talking about regenerative work/life, success metrics, stress management, and accommodating neurodivergence in the workplace, school, and at home.
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
I’ve held a myriad of learning designer roles that combine education, technology, and wellness. I use root-cause analysis, systems thinking, and preventative education using evidence-based research to support teams working on eco/social initiatives. The most impactful tool I can share is the art of listening. This starts with listening to the self. From here, we learn how to meet our needs, lean into different perspectives, and better read our environment to create the necessary conditions for balance and success. My vision drives this company and I look forward to learning about yours.
WHAT IS YOUR EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY?
I believe growth is not taught, but caught. Often, educational environments stop at the level of presentation, reading, or test questions to confirm their success. Yet, these trainer-centric methodologies don’t confirm that actual learning took place. Whenever I build a learning experience for any age (online or off), I focus on building learner-centric environments that accommodate and celebrate neurodiversity.
ANY LAST SHARES?
I not only created, but continue to use DayBalancer tools to help me self-regulate each day. I helped myself recover from work exhaustion and still use techniques learned as part of my daily recovery and mindfulness journey. Overall, I want to create a happy, healthy life - and be of service to my family, friends, and community. I learned so much from my tenacious mom who built her own cabin with the help of a small community. She continues to live in the place she loves, surrounded by the Pacific NW trees and the best water our family has ever drank. I have 2 amazing children, where one is a nurse and the other is exploring work through a multitude of angles. I couldn’t be more proud of both of them 🥰 I live in Edmonds with my husband and we love spending time with family and friends making food, music, traveling, and life adventures!
Reach out and say hi! I look forward to learning more about you ~
Jessie
